Its the 26th year that the Brighton Half Marathon has taken place.

Thirteen thousand lycra-clad runners will complete the 13.1 mile course started by Olympic champion Sally Gunnell this Sunday morning. This hugely popular event is a big charity fundraiser that attracts runners of all abilities.

Local ‘Hat Challenge’ runner, Sara Snood,  aims to achieve another great fund raising goal after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. Sara has currently raised £16,300 for Macmillan and in celebration of her fundraising efforts received a Point of Light award from David Cameron earlier this year.

Visitors and local residents can cheer on the entrants along the promenade as the runners loop back along the seafront. For more details, visit www.brightonhalfmarathon.com
