The Brighton Photo Biennial festival (BPB14) is produced by Photoworks an organisation dedicated to providing the opportunity for participation in photography. The festival programme champions talent and ambition, connects artists with audiences and includes commissions, participation and publishing. Additionally, it embraces fresh approaches, novel perspectives, represents archived material as well as generating new work and commissions.

This sixth edition of BPB takes place throughout October and the beginning of November and its schedule comprises of events, exhibitions, screenings, talks and workshops ensuring that no matter whatever an individual’s level of interest or expertise in photography that they can participate in BPB14.

As opposed to the single curator model, BPB14 works closely with a host of international, national and regional collaborators to create a sequence of new projects based on the theme of Communities, Collectives & Collaboration.

The BPB14 involves more than forty five photographers and collaborators and takes place across Brighton & Hove and beyond, in pop-up venues, galleries, public spaces and online. This festival allows photography to be explored as pages, pixels, prints and projections.
