Chestnut Tree House cares for children and young adults with progressive life-limiting conditions and is the only children’s hospice in East and West Sussex. The multidisciplinary team at Chestnut Tree House provide support for the entire family following diagnosis.

The advice, assessment and the provision of information with practical, social and spiritual support throughout each child’s life ensures that this children’s hospice achieve the best quality of life for children, young people and their families, however short it may be.

Befriending, counselling and spiritual care are just some of the bereavement support services available. In addition the children’s hospice organise short breaks, emergency and end of life care along with support for the transition from paediatric palliative care services to adult services.

Chestnut Tree House offer a wide range of activities and opportunities to experience different things and rely on the help, generosity and support of the people of Sussex and we are very proud and happy to say that last year the white house raised over £350 through our late check-out donation arrangement with our guests.

Annually, the running of the hospice costs over £3m and there are many life-limited children and young people in Sussex who hugely benefit from all of the provided services such as sibling support.
