For the sixth consecutive year, Brighton Hove Lawns will host the UK’s largest celebration of food & drink Foodies Festival. Visitors can experience cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, sampling of both sweet and savoury food whilst watching various dancing displays and listening to live music. There are several new additions to this super event including a Vintage Tea Tent that will hold daily tea dances and a Chilli Food Market with daily Chilli Eating Challenge at 5pm for those with a love for spicy foods.
Thousands of visitors will flock from the surrounding areas to feast on a vast array of culinary delights with top chefs cooking in the Chef’s Theatre, the Drink’s Theatre and Children’s Cookery Theatre. At the heart of the festival there will be a new Feasting Tent as the social hub with long banqueting tables, where visitors can enjoy eating with chefs, friends and family.
Local food and drink experts will guide visitors through Bee Keeping, Mushroom Foraging and in the exciting new Tasting Theatre where there will also be master classes introducing festival-goers to the latest foods and flavours such as Japanese Soul, Raw and Vegan food.
There will be a confectionary paradise for passionate bakers with Cake & Bake demonstrations in the Tasting Theatre as well as Chocolate Making, 3D cake modelling, , Sugar-Crafting and a complementing chocolate, cake and bake village selling bakes, ingredients, jams and gadgets.
Melissa Cole will help you match foods with locally produced craft beers as she hosts master classes in the new Craft Beer Theatre whilst wine experts Charles Metcalfe and Neil Phillips will guide festival goers through this season’s best bubblies from around the world, in the new Wine and Champagne Theatre.
